GCS Fitness for Life
HS Fitness Center is open all faculty and staff every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:00-4:00.
HS Fitness Center is also open to all students Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00pm.

Healthy Recipe Contest Winner
Submitted by Justine Wells, 8th Grade

Broiled Haddock over Brown Rice
1 Fillet of Haddock
1 clove garlic
1/2 t. lemon pepper
1/2 t. pepper
1/2 lemon
1 T olive oil
1/8 t. sea salt
1/2 c. cooked brown rice
Cut garlic up and sprinkle on top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 12 hours. Remove haddock from pan, and place on baking sheet. Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Cover pan tightly with foil and then cut 3 holes in the top. Bake 35 minutes or until lightly brown. Remove fish from pan. Place cooked rice on plate, and put fish over it. Squeeze the lemon over fish and rice.

It also has a running tally of what people are doing named "Spark People in Action." It keeps a running total of fitness minutes, water consumed, calories burned, etc. As you log in your information it adds to the total.
